The National Assessment Center Association (NAC) is please d to offer two sessions of Youth Mental Health First Aid in partnership wit h the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority.
Why Youth Me ntal Health First Aid? Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you h ow to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and subst ance use disorders in youth. The 6.5 hour training (2 hours of pre-work and 4.5 of virtual training) gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents ( ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem a nd help connect them to the appropriate care.
