The Staff Support and Development Core c omponent of the Assessment Center Framework references nine supervisory competencies developed by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NTCSN). The Framework highlights the importance of qualit y supervision to support staff members and specifically calls out the need for Centers to support the development of these competencies in th eir management and supervisory staff. This training, put on by the Center for Trauma and Children and the University of Kentucky, is designed to give supervisors and leaders support to effectively address secondary traumatic stress.
